MPCHS Grad Nick Lyon Tops In FG Percentage

Nick Lyon, a 2012 graduate of Mt. Pleasant Community High School, leads the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference in field goal and free throw percentage as a forward for the Southeastern Community College Blackhawks.

As a starter for SCC's first 16 games this season, Lyon is tops in field goal percentage as he has drained 48 of 71 at a 67.6% clip. He also has the conference's best free throw percentage at 82.1%, knocking down 46 of his 56 attempts.

Nick Lyon led the Mt. Pleasant Panthers to a Class 3A state championship last year. He also played football and soccer for the Panthers as well as the tuba in the school band.
