Mt. Pleasant Girls Get Two Wins

The Mt. Pleasant girls basketball team improved their overall record to 2-2 and their Southeast Conference record to 1-0 after beating conference foe Fairfield Friday night on the road 68-38, then knocking off Pella Saturday afternoon 58-48.

Against Fairfield, Kelsi Phipps scored 20 and Taryne Shull 17 in the win. In the Pella game, Taryne Shull scored 19 points, Kelsi Phipps 15, with Mary Wester and Natalie Myers each scoring 10 points. 

The Panthers take on Keokuk Friday night at Panther gym with the 9th grade game beginning at 4:45 PM.
