It's still a little over two months away, but plans are already taking shape for Mt. Pleasant's Music InMotion show choir invitational on February 2.

Hosted by the MPCHS show choir InMotion and sponsored by the Mt. Pleasant Music Boosters, the event always draws many of the top show choirs from several states. This year's invitational will feature the return of Cedar Rapids Xavier's Xhilaration, who had been a regular 4A competitor but performed elsewhere the past couple years. All of the Davenport/Bettendorf public schools will again grace the stage as well as Iowa City's City High, Muscatine, Keokuk, and Fort Madison.

Mt. Pleasant is excited to announce that a show choir from Overland Park, Kansas will be coming here for the first time. The Swingin' Saints from St. Thomas Aquinas will be making the trip and will be competing in Class 4A.

As of now 17 groups are slated to be competing, with seven in the Prep Division, two in 3A, and 8 in 4A. A few more may be added to the lineup.

The Mt. Pleasant Middle School show choir Chain Reaction and high school's InMotion will perform in exhibition.
