Panthers Place Second In MP Tournament

Number two ranked class 1A volleyball power Holy Trinity Catholic of Ft. Madison won the Mt. Pleasant Invitational Volleyball tournament Saturday in Panther Gym. The Crusaders defeated the host Mt. Pleasant Panthers 2-0 in the championship (21-16 and 21-8), after beating 12th ranked New London 2-0 in the semi finals. Mt. Pleasant went 3-0 in pool play, defeating New London, Central Lee and Chariton. The Panthers won their semi final match against Camanche 2-0.
