Girls Have Rough Night Against Burlington

The Burlington Grayhounds controlled the ball and made the big plays when they had to, leading to a 2-0 win over the Mt. Pleasant Panthers Thursday night at East Lake Park.
Besides dropping the game, the Panthers suffered several injuries throughtout the game, forcing the team to use a couple freshmen that usually play JV ball.
Erin Watt, who had been nursing a sore hamstring and did not start, reinjured it and left the game. Amber Hainline suffered a possible broken leg and Hannah LeBlanc suffered a possible concussion. Sitting out the contest was reserve Samentha Phommachack who suffered an ankle injury in the last game.
Burlington also won the JV contest, 1-0, with a second half goal.
The Panthers have a few days to heal before heading to Marion on Monday to take on the Indians. The game is scheduled to start at 4:15 PM with the boys game to follow. There will not be JV games.
