Key Conference Matchup For Panthers and Chiefs

The Mt. Pleasant Panthers girls soccer team travels to Keokuk this afternoon for a key Southeast Conference match with the Chiefs at Calvert Stadium.

Keokuk is coming off a 1-0 non-conference win over Holy Trinity Catholic a week ago, while Mt. Pleasant played three games in that time span, dropping a 3-2 contest to Washington while knocking off Mid-Prairie 2-0 and Fairfield 1-0.

Keokuk has a conference record of 1-2 and are 4-2 overall. Mt. Pleasant is 3-1 in conference play and 6-3 overall. The Panthers edged Keokuk 1-0 when they met at East Lake Park earlier this season.

Tonight's varsity game will follow the JV contest, which is slated to start at 5:00 PM.
