Panthers Knock Off Fairfield With Hood's Goal

A first half goal by junior midfielder Linzie Hood stood as the game's lone score as the Mt. Pleasant Panthers notched a 1-0 win over the Fairfield Trojans at East Lake Park.

After Hood found the back of the net with a shot from far out, the defense dug in to hold Fairfield at bay.

The Panthers are now 6-3 overall, 3-1 in conference play. They travel to Keokuk next Monday for a key conference match with the Chiefs. Earlier this season Mt. Pleasant edged Keokuk 1-0.
