Pleasant Panthers scored three goals rather quickly and coasted to a 6-1 conference win over the Trojans. Holly Long was her usual self, constantly putting the pressure on the Fairfield defense. The junior standout forward scored less than two minutes into the game and the rout was on. Long ended up scoring four goals before leaving the game with 19 minutes remaining. She has now scored 10 goals in the first three games this season. The other two goals for the Panthers were tallied by Amber Hainline and Hannah LeBlanc. Mt. Pleasant is now 3-0, 1-0 in Southeast Conference play, and host Burlington Notre Dame Tuesday night at 4:30 in a varsity-only match. The Panthers will be shorthanded as several student/athletes will be performing with the school's jazz band at the Iowa Jazz Championships at Vets Auditorium in Des Moines. In the JV contest, Mt. Pleasant and Fairfield played to a 0-0 tie.
