Panther Girls Edge Centerville 55-54

It was a happy ride home last night as the Mt. Pleasant Panther girls defeated Centerville 55-54 to up their season record to 8-5. The eight wins is already better than seven wins the team won in each of the previous two years.

As usual, senior Taylor Shull led the scoring with 21 points. Kelsi Phipps had another great game with 15 points and nine rebounds. Taryne Shull also hit double figure scoring with 13 and contributed seven boards.

The girls team now has two home contests coming up, with Keokuk on Friday and Oskaloosa Saturday.
