WALDRON — Two years ago, the Connersville boys soccer team tied the high school record for wins with 10.
Last year, the Spartans tied the mark with one game to go in the regular season. Unfortunately for them, the final game was       lost due to weather, so the record stood at 10.
Monday night at Waldron, Logan Neukam scored a Hat Trick, his three goals leading CHS to a 7-1 win over the Mohawks. The win       was Connersville’s tenth of the season, again tying the school mark.
Adding goals to the party were Jake Hackleman, Alec Metcalfe, Brian Hazelrigg and Andrew Stine.

“We had five different kids score tonight, which means they are keeping their spacing and passing the the ball well,” CHS head       coach Mike Bottomley said. “Andrew Stine had a great game scoring and dishing out two assists.
“We were missing Sadler Kleve tonight and Alec Metcalfe filled in great for him.”
Though one more win will reset the record books, the Spartans are looking toward more than that according to Bottomley.
The kids didn’t seem too concerned tonight about tying the record, they just went about thier business and played the game,”       he said. “I really think they have going undefeated in their sights.
“They have done a great job playing one game at a time, the effiort has been at 100 percent all year.”
The win over Waldron leaves them 10-0.

Goalie Cameron Tipton collected 17 saves in the win, getting help from his defense.
“Tonight I felt like Brian Christie played great defense and was all over the field,” Bottomley noted.
