Welcome to the DeKalb Baron Radio Network

August 16, 2012
DeKalb High School

Hi everybody... I'm Tim Rowlison and on behalf of everyone at 95.5 FM Classic Hits the Hawk, I am proud and honored to be a part of bringing you all the DeKalb Baron football and basketball games this year, exclusively through WAWK radio, and IHigh.com. You will hear several DeKalb legends throughout the football and basketball season. Notably, Dick McKean will be the main color analyst during the football season and for a few select games, former Baron quarterback and state champion, Erik Weber will be joining us. Dick McKean has been at Dekalb High School since 1970 and was the athletic director until 2001. Dick was also an assistant football coach for a few seasons, so his insights into the history of the Baron football program and his knowledge of the game, will be invaluable to me. Plenty more big, Dekalb Baron names and faces will be in and out of the press box to lend their thoughts and stories of some classic DeKalb Baron games of years past, and their take on what's happening on the field now.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank current Dekalb High School athletic director Ron Koch, for his support, allowing us to bring you all the Big Red action. His generosity in allowing us to use the DeKalb facilities to bring you these games, benefits the fans of the DeKalb Barons in a lot of ways.

One more guy I'd like to thank is DeKalb Baron head football coach, Mike Cochran. Taking time away from his busy schedule to sit down every Saturday morning at 10:30 from Ben Davis Ford on Grandstaff Drive in Auburn, to chat with me on DeKalb Baron Coach's Corner, to cover any question I may have about anything going on currently with the DeKalb football program, promises to be very informative.

Last, but not least, I want to thank the fans and students of DeKalb High School. I encourage everyone to attend as many games as possible. That is where the real fun is. I know we live in an age of "entertainment overload" but in my opinion, you cannot beat the price of admission to a high school sporting event in the state of Indiana, and more particularly, DeKalb High School.
