May 16, 2014
By Dalton Schmidt of Lakeland High School

The Lakeland boy's baseball team picked up another win yesterday as they defeated Fremont 10-1. That marks five wins for the Lakers in their past seven games.

The Laker charge started early as they struck for a run in the first and would never give up the lead. Derrick Dunn lead the Laker attack with three hits and two RBI's, notching two hits for the Lakers were Kyle Casper, Dylan Pranger and Sammy Garcia.  Also having hits were Alex Pearson and Dalton Schmidt. Schmidt plated three RBI's and Morgan Moore, Pranger and William Kelly each had one. Pranger took the mound and allowed one earned run in seven innings while striking out seven.

The Lakers are in action again this Saturday as they take on the KNights of East Noble at East Noble.
