Boys in First, Girls in Fourth after NECC Day 1

The Boy's track team is in good position after the first day of competition in the NECC Conference Meet, leading with 32 points. The 4x800m relay team of Nick Byler, Joseph Trost, Mishael Theis, and Eric Herber broke the school record and placed 1st with a time of 8:08.91. Brennen Weimer snagged 8th in the pole vault, while Dustin Cunningham and Theis took 4th and 6th in the long jump, and the throwing combo of Evan Garretson and Wyatt Petty went 1-6 in the discus. 

The Girl's are looking good after the first day putting up 14.5 points. Kloee Fitch got second in the shot put, while Brittany Shepherd snagged 8th, and the 4x800m relay team of Michaella Burchett, Ashlyn and Massie Maskow, and Kasidy Skinner got 6th. Elexus Holmes topped it off with a tie for 6th in high jump.

The Conference Meet will wrap up this Friday at Fairfield.
