Boy's Track Pulls out a close one

The boys track team took two victories in their double dual meet against West Noble and Westview last night winning 67-65, and 92-40 respectively. Nick Byler led the Lakers with first place finishes 400m dash, 4x800m relay (Joseph Trost, Mishael Theis, Eric Herber, and Byler), and the 4x400m relay (Joel Miller, Theis, Herber, and Byler). Taylor Raatz snagged first in the 300m hurdles, and second in the 110m hurdles. Miller also grabbed seconds in the 100m and 200m dashes. Herber and Trost went two, three in the 800m run, and Trost finished second in the 3200m. Tanner Oakley took second in the high jump. Brennan Weimer continued his monumental improvements in the pole vault with a vault of 11 feet. Evan Garretson placed first in the shot and disc.
The Laker's next meet will be Saturday at the Goshen Relays
The girls team dropped both contests 81-51, and 74-58. Kloee Fitch led the Lakers with firsts in both shot and disc. Leah Miller and Massie Maskow went 1-2 in the 100m hurdles, Ashtin Kaminer took second in the 100m dash, Michaela Burchett had an impressive showing in the 1600m run taking second, Ashlyn Maskow grabbed first in the 300m hurdles and third in he 200m run, Holmes took third in the high jump, and Brittany shepherd took third in the long jump, and third in the shot put.
The lady Lakers will be a the Turtle Town relays this saturday.
