Boy's Dominate Monument City

The Laker Boys took first in the Monument City Relays last Saturday with a team score of 132. Evan Garretson led the Lakers with first place finishes in both the shot put and discus. 3 of the relays also followed suit by picking up firsts. the 4x100m team of Joel Miller, Dustin Cunningham, Eli Wallace, and Taylor Raatz, the 4x800m team of Nick Byler, Eric Herber, Joseph Trost, and Mishael Theis, and the 800m sprint medley team of Cunningham, Wallace, Raatz, and Miller. Cunningham also took second in the long jump, and Oakley followed with a third. Oakley also snagged second in the high jump. Herber and Trost went 2-4 in the mile, while Raatz snuck into third in the 110m hurdles.
The Boy's next meet will be tomorrow at home against Goshen.
The Girls team also competed Saturday at the Northridge relays. The 4x400m relay team took fifth amongst strong competition. Individually Kloee Fitch snagged second in the shot put, and third in the discus.
