Golf Splits outing with Garrett and Hamilton

The Lakeland Laker Varsity golf team opened up the 2014 season by losing a close match to the host Garrett Railroaders 180-179. They defeated the Hamilton Marines 180-179 to earn a split on the night to open up the NECC conference part of their season. The Lakers were led by junior Brad Pearson with a 40. Isaac Kilgore was next on the Laker score sheet with a 41 and followed by senior Lukas Long with a 46, sophomore Cole Long had a 53 and Senior Alex Wannemacher rounded out the Laker scoring with a 54. The Lakers are 1-1 overall and 1-0 in the NECC. The Lakeland JV team defeated the host Railroaders 219-236. The Lakers were led by freshman Christian Roose with a 50 and sophomore Dustin Riehl's 51.
