Both Laker Track Teams Move to 2-0

The boys and girls track teams both took home wins last night at Central Noble, winning 97-30, and 79-49 respectively.

Joel Miller opened up the meet with wins in the 100m and 200m dashes, which Taylor Raatz followed up with double firsts in the 110m and 300m hurdles. A slew of Lakers took home firsts, Nick Byler in the 400m dash, Kyle Burchet in the 3200, Tanner Oakley in the High Jump, Dustin Cunningham in the long jump, and Joseph Trost in the 800m run. Evan Garretson rounded out the scoring with firsts in the shot and disc. 

This saturday the Lakers will be competing at the Monument City Relays in Angola.

Leading the charge was Ashtin Kaminer, who took first in the 100m dash, Long jump, and was a part of the 4x100m relay team consisting of Hope Brewer, Corina Garrett, Brittney Shepherd, and Kaminer. Michealla Burchet won both the 1600m and 3200m runs. Kloee Fitch took the podium in shot and disc. Ashlyn and Massie Maskow won the 400m dash, 300m hurdles, and 200m dash, and were both on the winning 4x400m relay team of Elexus Holmes, Sheridan Flores, and the twins, along with the 4x800m relay team of Kassidy Skiner, Joy Sustaita, and the two Maskows. Shepherd also took the blue in Pole Vault.

The Lady Lakers will be competing at the Northridge Relays this Saturday.
