February 14, 2014By Lukas Long of Lakeland High School
Your very own Lakeland Lakers Boys basketball team defeated the Central Noble Cougars on February 13th, 2014 in NECC Basketball action. The Lakers came out strong and kept at it for the whole game. You could really see the heart these young men were playing with as they left it all out on the court. But the second quarter sparked the Cougars into a small comeback as they went into half time 27-26. Though Varsity proved to be successful, the JV couldn’t say the same as they fell to the cougars 37-40. The Cougars really attacked in the third quarter as they outscored us 14-5. Leading scorers of this match up were Josh Collyer with 14 and Martin Gordon with 11.
