Laker Boys' Lose Two

The Lakers faced off against the Eastside Blazers in Boys Basketball action on December 23, 2013. The Lakers got off to a slow start and it drug on throughout the game until the 3rd quarter when they finally got a little kick in their step, tying the game with a buzzer beater from Senior Dustin Cunningham. The fourth quarter rolled around and the Lakers were flat as ever, being outscored 23 to 9 in a single quarter. Leading scorers for your lakers were Tanner Oakley with 10 points, Chandler Mynhier with 9 points and Dustin Cunningham with 8.
Along with the varsity boys, the JV fell as well. With a low final score of 33-26, the leading scorers were Josh Collyer with 7 and Martin Gordon with 6.
Lakeland dropped a conference matchup against their county rivals to conclude the Lakers’ 2013 part of the season. Leading the Lakers in scoring was senior Chandler Mynhier with 14 points. Senior Daemyn Priestly followed up the Lakeland scoring attack with 13 points. The Lakers dropped the game by a final score of 75 to 57 in Topeka.
The JV lost their game against Westview as well 43-25. Leading the JV in scoring was three teammates with six points, Martin Gordon, Britain Isaacs, and Josh Collyer.
