Lakers Beat Fremont

The Lakeland Boys Football team defeated the Fremont Eagles 48-13 in last Fridays game. Taylor Raatz led the team in rushing with 112 yards with one touchdown. Hunter Sams, Josh Collyer, and Quinten Bender each contributed a rushing touchdown as well. The Laker defense was also put on center stage, as seniors Taylor Raatz and Joel Miller each had intercetions returned for touchdowns. The special teams also had a big factor, as senior kicker Marco Olivares went 2/2 on field goals, and even broke the school record with a 47 yard kick.
The Lakers will travel to Albion on Friday September 6 to face the Central Noble Cougars at 7:00 p.m.
