Home » Boys' Basketball NewsLakers Fall in Second RoundJanuary 10, 2013 By Chandler Mynhier of Lakeland High SchoolThe Lakeland Lakers boys' basketball team lost Wednesday night 56-33 to the West Noble Chargers in the second round of the NECC tournament. After trailing early in the game Lakeland was able to cut the Charger lead down to six points at the end of the first half. The Lakers could not keep the momentum going scoring a mere 11 points the rest of the game. Senior Spencer Mortola had a season high 23 points in the loss 16 coming in the first half. Lakeland will travel to Churobusco to face the Eagles Thursday night following the girl's game.
