Lakers Pick Up First Win

     Lakeland picked up their first victory of the season on Saturday night as they defeated Bethany Christian 41-36. Despite a strong push by the Bruins in the fourth quarter the Lakers were able to hang onto their lead and come out with the victory. Senior Spencer Mortola lead the way for the Lakers with 15 points while Junior Chandler Mynhier added 10 points. The Lakers will travel to Lakewood Park Christian next as they try and keep up the momentum of their victory.

     The JV squad picked up their second win as they defeated the Bruins 34-16. Junior Tanner Oakley and Freshman Josh Collyer did all of the scoring for the Lakers as they each had 17 points. The win brings Lakeland's JV to 2-2 on the season.
