Home » Boys' Basketball NewsLakers Open Season At East NobleNovember 26, 2012 By Lukas Long of Lakeland High SchoolThe Lakeland Boys' Basketball teams opened up their season Saturday night playing at East Noble. The Lakeland Varsity squad was defeated 41-30 in a hard fought game. Despite leading after the first quarter Lakeland was unable to keep up their scoring through the second and third quarters. The Laker's were led in scoring by Junior Chandler Mynhier who scored 11 and Senior Spencer Mortola who added a repectable eight points. The Laker JV and Freshman teams also fell just short of a victory. The Lakeland JV ended up losing by a score of 40-28 and the Freshman team was defeated 47-28. Junior Tanner Oakley led the JV with 10 points while Freshman Josh Collyer added in nine points. Austin Hoffelder led the Freshman team with 11 points. Lakeland's next game is Friday November 30 at Fremont.
