Home » Girls' Basketball NewsLakers Find Strengths To Build OffNovember 13, 2012 By William Kelly of Lakeland High SchoolThe Lakeland Lakers unveiled a new coach last Tuesday as Coach Sheila Moore lead the Lady Lakers into combat with the Goshen Lady Redskins. The Lakers, who were not able to overcome turnover issues, found things to improve on as Goshen just snuck by. Lakeland's leading scorer was sophomore Abi Thompson with eleven points. Overall, Lakeland would go on to struggle from behind the arc for the remainder of the night. A very good night from the charity stripe as Lakeland shot nearly 50%. Other scorers were junior Carlee Richardson with six and sophomore Becca Levitz with two points, four rebounds, and three steals. Lakeland will play Wawasee in LaGrange on Tuesday November 13th, at 7:15 pm. Final score from the sixth, Goshen: 76 Lakeland 19.
