Home » Boys' Soccer NewsLaker Season EndsOctober 8, 2012 By William Kelly of Lakeland High SchoolAn electric atmosphere in Emma surrounded the Lakeland-West Noble Boys Soccer matchup this past Saturday. However, the night didn't go as planned for the Lakers. Uriel Macias, the junior for the Chargers, caused havoc on the Laker defense all night. Scoring three goals in the first half alone. The Lakers struck first blood though, coming off of a Sammy Garcia goal early in the game. After that, the Laker offense just couldn't get anything going as they were kept off the board for the remainder of the game. It was the last game for the seniors on the Lakeland team like: Luis Gutierrez, Dylan Gust, Carlos Albor, Alfredo Nieves, and Hernan Duran. Final score from Topeka, 6-1.
