Lakers Come Up Short Against Eastside

May 9, 2012
By Dalton Schmidt of Lakeland High School

The Lakeland Lakers baseball team took a tough loss at the hands of the Eastside Blazers last night. The Lakers (5-16 0-8 NECC) started out the game with one run in the bottom of the first and would score in the next three innings, but in the top of the second the Blazers would score three on a three run homer by Corbin Yoder and then would score two more in the top of the third. This would be enough to secure the victory by a score of 5-4. William Kelly took the mound for the Lakers and pitched all seven innings allowing eight hits on five runs and three strikeouts.

You can see your Laker squad in action on Thursday when they travel to Fremont to take on the Eagles.
