Girls Golf – 11th out of 16 teams at the New Haven Invitational. Team scored a 383 and JV shot a 454
Boys Soccer –Zach Baldridge scored a goal off an assist from sophomore Aaron Webb in a 2-1 loss to Manchester. The junior varsity won, 3-0, with Johannes Bingham, Nathan Park and TJ Kratz each finding the back of the net.
Girls Soccer – varsity soccer team broke open a scoreless game with a series of goals in the second half of its game with visiting Jay County, winning 3-0. The Lady Vikings, 2-1, got a pair of goals from junior Corinne Tester. Freshman Bailey Martin also scored, on an assist by Tester, for her fourth goal in three games. Junior Aly Grabner assisted on one of Tester's scores. Senior Paige Coolman made eight saves in goal for the shutout win.
Boys Tennis – Matt Sieberns and Graham Sereno won their match vs Richmond at #1 Doubles as well as Andrew Smith and Nick May at #2 doubles as the Vikings came up short 3-2 in a NCC contest. The boys also lost a close one, 3-2, vs Muncie Central as both doubles teams won their contest again. The Vikings fell to 0-4 on the season and 0-2 in the NCC. The JV team finished the weekend at 2-2 with a 5-1 W over Richmond and a 4-2 loss vs MC.
B/G XC – Girls' team placed fifth out of 15 teams. Sophomore Hannah Stoffel led the way for the Lady Vikings, finishing 17th in 20:13.8. Junior Emily Eherenman took 23rd in 21:16.5, junior Taryn Doering secured 28th in 21:29.1, senior Cassidy Johnson finished 30th in 21:32.4 and sophomore Marissa Jamison snagged 37th in 21:48.6. Junior Stephanie McElhaney came in 41st in 21:57.5 and freshman Cadee Harmon was 74th in 23:33.7 to round out the team. Huntington North was fifth with a 135. Huntington North finished fourth out of 12 teams in the junior varsity race. Sophomore Rachel Nalliah was the Lady Vikings' top finisher, crossing the finish line in 23:18.0 to take 11th place. The team's next three finishers, freshman Kelsey Coles, senior Rachel Jones and junior Kayla Farrell, finished in sequence, taking places 26th through 28th, respectively. Coles clocked in at 24:35.1, Jones finished in 24:41.2 and Farrell submitted a 24:42.8. Senior Allyson Faurote came in 30th in 25:03.6 and Abby Henderson was 34th in 26:19.8 to complete the team, which scored a 122.
Boys' team placed fifth out of 16 teams. Senior Charlie Mettler finished first for the Vikings and sixth overall, clocking in at 16:38.1. Junior Matt DeWitt came next, securing 18th in 17:11.9, senior Luke Doughty took 20th in 17:14.0, junior Tyler Brown snagged 33rd in 17:42.4 and junior Christian Jones was 68th in 18:33.5. Kyler McVoy came in 71st in 18:34.7 and senior Collin Wesco finished 88th in 19:17.4 to round out the team. Huntington North finished fourth out of 12 teams in the junior varsity race.
Junior Austin Lange placed 14th in 18:33.5 to lead the Vikings. After Lange, junior Cam DeWitt snagged 17th in 18:46.8, freshman Dillon Valenti secured 23rd in 19:01.6, junior Logan Worsham took 27th in 19:08.4 and junior Dustin Campbell finished 32nd in 19:32.4. Freshman Garrett Smith came in 41st in 20:07.1 and junior Matt Hunt was 56th in 20:58.5 to complete the team, which scored a 113.
Volleyball – The JV team traveled to Lafayette Jeff on Saturday and went 3-1 on the day and the only game lost was a close match finishing 18-25, 21-25 against Brownsburg who went on to win the championship.

The Pit had so many kids we had to make accommodations and move some down to the track. It was a great problem to have. I love the fact that the kids were supportive of the team, even in defeat, and hope that type of positive support continues.
