By John Dempsey sports@h-ponlline.com | Monday, September 17, 2012 The Vikings had a huge day on the tennis courts Saturday as they won both of their North Central Conference matches. Huntington North opened the day by coming through with a 4-1 victory over New Castle and followed that up by handling the Anderson Indians 4-1 as well. Aaron Gilmore won his first match at 1singles7-6 (4), 6-4 to get the Vikings started and Tommy Bolinger defeated Ar York of the Trojans by identical 7-5, 7-5 scores at 2 singles. Matt Sieberns went three sets at No. 3 singles, winning the crucial third set. The 1 doubles team of Wyatt Nave and Cameron Buzzard easily handled its opponent, 6-2, 6-1. Gilmore, Boling and Sieberns swept the singles action against Anderson with just onematchgoing to a set tiebreaker. The Indians picked up the win at 1 doubles, but Nave and Buzzard played 2 doubles against the Indians and won 6-4,6 -2. Joe Moran won a JVsingles matchagainst New Castle and Nathan Lundy and Hunter Phillips were doubles winners against Anderson.
