Base: Big inning carries Pioneers past Plainfield

Mooresville erupted for five runs in the first inning May 17 versus Plainfield and then repeated the feat in the fifth frame on the way to a 12-9 Mid-State victory. The Pioneers pounded out 13 hits on the night. They were led by LeeDa Allen who had a night she will not soon forget. Allen had three hits and drove in a whopping six runs in the game.
