Shawn Aylsworth of Carmel High SchoolVisiting Carmel collected eight runs in both the second and fourth innings April 13 en route to a 22-7 win over Pike. After scoring three times to open the game, Carmel came back with eight in the second to go up 11-zip. The Red Devils responded with two in the bottom of the second and four more in the third to cut it to 11-6, but the Greyhounds gashed right back with eight more in the fourth to put it away. Jack Martin was the offensive star in Carmel’s 14-hit attack, going 3 for 5 with a home run and six runs batted in. Steve Luther was 2 for 4 (including a triple) with three RBIs, while three other ‘Hounds had two hits each.
