Home » Football NewsFB: Cavaliers down Minster to earn trip to state semi-finalNovember 20, 2010 Lehman Catholic High SchoolThe Cavaliers are headed for the state semi-final after an impressive 27-14 victory over Minster on Nov. 19. Lehman controlled the ground attacks in this contest, outrushing Minster 237-102. That combined with an outstanding performance from quarterback Jonathon Slagle was enough for the victory.
Slagle was 11 of 15 threw the air for 166 yards and two touchdowns. Kaleb Goins carried the ball 20 times for 159 yards. Defensively, the cavaliers held minster’s fine running back Adam Kaiser to just 82 yards on 21 carries.
Delphus St. Johns is next up for the Cavaliers. St. Johns downed McComb 50-20 to gain a berth next week. Game location and time should be announced on Sunday.
