Danbury Capsizes, Northwood Dominates

April 13, 2011
By Tyler Johnson of Northwood High School

Northwood started the game strong with ten runs in the first inning. Cameron Juhasz started for Northwood and Anthony Rorigi pitched the 4th and 5th innings. Northwood hit the ball deep but the Laker's couldn't seem to get their gloves on it. Everyone on the Rangers roster had an at bat. Northwood almost had double digit extra base hits. John Romstadt had 2 doubles and Nick Russell was perfect batting on the day. John Segura Jr. hit a three run homerun in the 4th as the wind was blowing out which is does rarely at Northwood. In their last 2 games Northwood has scored 38 runs and look to add some more Saturday at home versus Woodward in a doubleheader. Danbury was limited to 2 hits and Northwood had 26. The game ended in the fifth. Nick Whitmore was behind the plate for the Rangers
