By Todd Martin

The Shelby County Lady Rockets rolled up 11 hits enroute to an 11-5 win over Anderson County to take the 30th District Championship Monday at Eminence.

As the girls were celebrating, the Rockets were taking care of business at home, dropping Spencer County 19-3 in the first round of the 30th District Baseball Tournament.

The Lady Rockets trailed 5-0, but scored 11 unanswered runs including five in the third and five more in the seventh for the win. It was the Lady Rockets first win over Anderson County in the last five meetings.

Shauna Gramig was 3-4 and scored three runs, Haleigh LeCompte and Hannah Abbott each had two RBIs and Farren Holland ripped a two-run home run to lead Shelby
