Home » Girls' Basketball NewsQuitman Girls Rally Past Southeast.November 30, 2010 Southeast Lauderdale High SchoolMERIDIAN - Despite a strong showing, Southeast Lauderdale didn't quite have enough to get past Quitman in prep girls basketball action Friday as the Panthers took the 61-56 win. "Tonight we played well, we just got beat by a good team," said Tigers coach Joe Miller. "I feel good about our team." Southeast led Quitman 30-28 at halftime, but the Panthers outscored them 16-9 in the third quarter to secure the lead. Quitman's Relanda McFarland led the Panthers with 23 points while A'teyuna Doby added 14 points. Southeast's Pashen Thompson put up 25 points and 11 rebounds while Marfrienzetta Anthony contributed 10 points. The Tigers will be back in action after Thanksgiving competing in the ECCC tournament. - Josh Taylor
