Hollywood Spartans defeat Miramar

Tuesday, April 7
The Spring Break Tournament got under way on Monday with a decisive
win 9-2 over the Plantation Colonels.
Tuesday, the bats came alive as the Spartans pounded the ball
scoring 12 runs and holding Miramar, a strong hitting team also, to 9 runs.
The deciding factor was the determined pitching of Hills after
the first inning issued several walks. The Spartans maintained their
focus and gave up very few hits after that.
Today, Wednesday, they take on Ft. Lauderdale in a game
which could give them the right to play for the championship on Friday. |
