Senior Forward Zach Weld is inching dangerously close to a milestone. He is 6 points away from the coveted 1000 point mark. When he reaches this mark he will become the fifth Eagle in school history to accomplish this feat along with Nick Parkhurst, John Hirte, Stew Herman and current teammate Bradley Basco. On what reaching the point mark would mean to him, Zach responded "I am trying to follow in the footsteps of greatness, namely Stewart Herman (the schools all time leading scorer)". Striving to be the best is what ultimately makes Weld the player he is, a hardworker and an all conference talent. If Zach were to continue at his 20.6 points per game pace he would reach the checkpoint tonight against Southwest Christian Academy.
