The Warriors trailed American International 6-3 entering the bottom of the seventh inning. Morgan Lintz pulled WSU to within two with a solo home run with WSU then loading the bases thanks to an error and singles by Jessica Kullmann and Shannon Nelson. Ashley Walker also had an RBI hit in the game for Winona State, with the other two Warrior runs coming thanks to American International miscues.

Karsten finished the game with three hits in five at bats while also scoring the game-winning run.

The Warriors jumped out to an early lead in their game against St. Thomas Aquinas, scoring two runs in the top of the first as Walker and Lintz each recorded an RBI.
