No, that was not a typo. SPASH scored 24 runs. On offense, the Panthers were led once again by Heather Woyak, who was 4-4 at the plate with four runs scored, a double, home run and 7 RBI. Taylor Smola chipped in with three hits, while Molly Williams had two hits, two runs and two RBI. Megan Roth was 4-5 at the plate for SPASH, and Melanie Leopold had three hits and scored three runs. Nicki Hauser, who has been hot at the plate, was 3-6 with two doubles and three RBI. Hauser pitched for SPASH, striking out six and walking one. Parris Kurszewski also homered for SPASH. SPASH scored four runs in the first inning, highlighted by Woyak’s three-run home run, her fifth of the year. The Panthers followed with five runs each in the second and third. The Panthers exploded for ten runs in the fifth inning. Marshfield registered only two hits against Panthers pitching. With the win, SPASH improves to 10-3 and notched their 93rd straight Valley Conference win. The Panthers will face Wausau West in Stevens Point on Thursday afternoon. SPASH Box:
