Coach Gorecki Update

To all Foley Wrestling Fans,

Thanks for everyone that came to the Section 6AA Team Tournament in Foley on Tuesday night.  We had a nice crowd and support for our wrestlers. To recap, #3AA Foley wrestled  Dassel Cokato and beat them 55-7, a few highlights are120 #3AA Tyler Funk beat Alex Bapp 4-2, 195# Mitch Struffert beat Joey Wraspir 4-2 and  Hwt Cameron Svihla beat #8AA Hans Aho 5-2.  Nice Job…

Foley headed to Big Lake on Friday night for the final four.  The Teams included were Foley, Annandale, Becker and New London. To recap, in the Semi’s #3AA Foley wrestled Annandale and won 53-16.  Somehighlightsare 138# Randy Jensen beat Hunter Hicks 6-0, 160# Nathan Beehler pinned Kody Rolfzen, and 182 #8AA Tyler Midas beat #3AA Teddy Erickson  9-4.  A very good showing before the finals…

Foley’s final Match was against #10AA Becker.  #3AA Foley beat them 35-13, a few highlights were 120 #3AA Tyler Funk beat #6AA Luke Schmalz  5-0, 138 #5AA Keith Thell beat Cody Ferris 12-2, 145 #8AA Carter Nielsen beatZack Zimmer 2-0 and182 #8AA Tyler Midas beat Bobby Lee 19-8. Congratulations…Foley is heading back to State!!  Good luck!!

This upcoming week, the varsity wrestles a very tough Individual Section 6AA Tournament on Friday and Saturday at New London- Spicer. The top two individuals will advance to the State Tournament, which is March1st and the 2^nd.  Good Luck!
