Subject: Region tournament

There has been a lot of confusion about the region tournament. I would rather be a lot of questions now than wait until monday. LOL

Monday - Every school is playing somewhere. There are 3 locations for the first round. This is based on seeding. GHSA has also stated for region tournament play, there must be at least 2 games played on the field where the region tournament is played.

On Monday:

@ Northgate location (# 1 seed)

4:00 10 seed vs 11 seed

6:00 10/11 winner vs 9 seed

8:00 9/10/11 winner vs 1 seed

@ Union Grove location ( # 2 seed)

5:00 7 seed vs 8 seed

7:00 7/8 winner vs # 2 seed

@ Whitewater ( # 3 seed)

5:00 3 seed vs 6 seed

7:00 4 seed vs 5 seed

Everyone moves to Lovejoy, Tuesday night with 3 loser bracket games being played at 5:00. Please be on time!

The seedings as of 9/27 at 1:40 pm:

1. Northgate

2. Union Grove

3. Whitewater

4. Ola

5. McIntosh

6. Starr's Mill

7. Mundy's Mill

8. Forest Park

9. Drew

10. Creekside

11. Mt. Zion

There are 2 games being played tonight.

Starr's Mill vs McIntosh - The winner will be the 5 seed, loser 6 seed.

Forest Park vs Creekside - If Forest Park wins, they will be 8 seed. If Creekside wins, there will be a 3 way tie and I will have to figure tiebreaker situation.

Please report these games to gasports.com tonight!  I will send out official bracket later tonight.
