OMAR GAITHER SUMMER SPORTSFEST
Omar Gaither, Myers Park Class of 2002 and middle linebacker for the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles, is coming to Charlotte July 9-10, 2008. Registration is available at www.omargaither.com.

Free Football and Cheer Clinic
MPHS Gus Purcell Stadium @ 10:00 a.m. Open to all students grades 1-8. The camp is restricted to the first 100 kids who sign up. Members of the Philadelphia Eagles and Myers Park High staff will conduct the camp.

Celebrity Basketball Game
Myers Park Gym @ 6:30 p.m.
Omar is a 2002 Myers Park High graduate where he is the only student athlete to earn 12 varsity letters in three sports. He was enrolled in the IB diploma program at Myers Park and received a full grant in aid to play football at the University of Tennessee, where he was named to the All SEC Academic Team for two years and the All SEC second team as a linebacker. He graduated with degrees in Communication and Business. Omar attended the Wharton School of Business at Harvard University after his rookie season and is currently the starting middle linebacker of the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles. Omar has enthusiastically agreed to conduct this camp along with other members of the Eagles Football team and the Myers Park football coaching staff. Omar also attended Sedgefield Middle School.
