IMX Games Recap

From February 1st - 3rd, 11 Gateway Swimmers participated in the Northeast IMX Games. There were three 10 & Under Girls, one 10 & Under Boy, three 11 - 12 Girls, two 11 - 12 Boys, and two 13 - 14 Boys: a fine second showing. There were approximately 850 swimmers at the meet. We hope to see more swimmers from our team qualify for the Games next year!

Gateway Swimmers placed 13th out of 46 with a score of 10,195!

Evan Zhang (13) had the highest place in an event coming in 4th for the 200 Breast. Emily Yan made the Zone time for the 100 Breast and 200 IM. Xue Han dropped nearly 27 seconds on her 500 Free. Crystal Zhang made the Zone time for the 500 Free, qualifying for the Zones in every possible event!

There were 3 Top 8 finishes from Gateway.
Finishing 8th in IMX Scoring for 11 year old Girls, Angelina Zhang with a score of 3130.
Finishing 6th in IMX Scoring for 13 year old Boys, Evan Zhang with a score of 4133.
and finally, the top finish from our team,
Finishing 3rd in IMX Scoring for 9 year old Boys, Ryan Zhang with a score of 2932.

Altogether, there were 96 top 8 finishes. Gateway Swimmers took home 3. As we sent only 1% of the swimmers but took home 3% of the places, great job, everyone who attended!
