Do not fear the New Year!

In theory, a New Year's Resolution is a great concept...a new year, a fresh start; it allows you to turn your back on mistakes and misfortune, further, it promises new opportunities and happiness. In reality you don't need to wait until January 1 to make improvements in your life. You can start any day that you choose, the date hardly seems important at all.

Most of us focus on giving something up like soda, fast food, sweets, alcohol or cigarettes. Those are admirable goals, but consider committing to finishing high school! The benefits are endless...a new sense of confidence, fulfillment and satisfaction, more opportunities and an overall improvement in your quality of life! Will you make it happen this year, or will you continue hide behind excuses and roadblocks?

I hope that you are motivated to make changes in your own life, simple or significant, just do something! If you fail, try again! After all, every day is a new day and a new opportunity. So what will you choose to do?
