Seven days til' gameday

August 23, 2012
By Doug Erlien of Osseo Orioles Football

After what was described as a slobberknocker of a practice Tuesday, the team took the field Wednesday in shells. Need to keep bodies fresh for this weekend’s scrimmage as well as Centennial at our house to open the season next Thursday.

As uncertain as things have been to start camp, there have been several guys that have flashed. According to some coaches, Troy Kray has been the story of camp. The senior linebacker has not only picked up the defensive position, he is playing on the offensive side of the ball as well. The athletic senior is flying around making plays on both sides of the ball.

Kicking Duties:
Watched senior Aaron Bergh take a firm grip on the job during practice today. He is performing dual duties as he is also on the soccer team as well. Kid has a solid leg and was hitting consistently from 20+. He will be solid on making 6’s into 7 during the season.

Gameplan for the Cougars:
With seven days until gameday, the team began to prep for Centennial. The scout teams set the tone for a great session. Can’t wait to see everything come together next week. The first teamers are getting more and more of the reps as we ramp up to Centennial.

Scrimmage tomorrow night:
Looking forward to the team kickoff and scrimmage under the lights tomorrow night. It will be a good primer for Saturday’s four team scrimmage and a good look at our new look team. The fun begins at 6pm at the stadium.
