Fall 2012 Grants Awarded

The PSO is happy to announce the Fall 2012 grant awardees. The committee awarded a total of $5,450 in grants. Fourteen applications were submitted, all of which would be beneficial to many East Ridge students. We'd like to thank those organizations who spent the effort on the application and associated presentation to the PSO. The discussions were very enlightening.

The decisions were difficult, made only after a full evaluation of all written grant requests and presentations to the PSO.

The Fall 2012 PSO Grant awardees are, in no particular order:

• Baseball - $500.00 for team catcher gloves
• Girls Basketball - $500.00 for regulation size basketballs
• 2013 Graduation All Night Party - $500.00 for decorations
• Girls Soccer - $450.00 for portable benches
• Speech - $500.00 for stands, books and scripts
• Trapshooting - $500.00 for gun safes
  
• Gymnastics - $500.00 for dismount safety mat
  
• Wrestling - $500.00 for a scale case and jump ropes
• Football - $500.00 to reconfigure the Weight room
• Softball - $500.00 for portable throwing screens
• Robotics - $500.00 for a storage tool box

The funding for these grants are generated from the East Ridge Concessions Model, and total grants in the past 4 years have exceeded $27,000 directly back into Raptor programs.

All East Ridge booster groups and clubs are encouraged to consider applying for grants in the spring. The application deadline is April 15, 2013. Grant awards are limited to one per group per school year.
