Who were the best of Roseville?

Becker and Quandt stood out

We saw four games in Roseville, and before that we caught Blake at Fridley.
First Team

C- Katie Quandt, Lakeville South, 6-4, senior
Not as dominant as she was the night before against Andover (26 points), Quandt nevertheless scored a dozen points and was far and away the top post in the building on the day.

PF- Monica Burich, Roseville, 6-2, junior
No surprises here, Burich pounded the boards for the Raiders. She’s looking for her shot more than we’re used to seeing, but still not as much as we’d like.

SF- Madi Hahn, Andover, 5-10, senior
A sneaky player. You don’t even notice her, and the next thing you know she’s got ten or twelve points. Doesn’t need a lot of chances or touches because she’s so efficient at converting the ones she gets.

PG- Danielle Gitzen, Chanhassen, 5-10, junior
Andover managed to frustrate her in the second half, bumping her at every opportunity. Still, she is so mobile and so long and so skilled with or without the ball that, well, you better have a game plan to slow her down. Andover did and executed it after intermission.

SG- Haydn Becker, Andover, 5-10, senior
The best player in the building today, Becker does everything. She is the primary ball handler, but as soon as the matchup dictates it, she’s in the lane, posting up some poor smaller player. Very high basketball IQ, just intuitively knows what the right play is, and executes it.
