Section & State CutsDiving Qualifications for Sections and State Each school may select four (4) diver's to attend sections and each diver must perform an 11 dive list. In order to qualify for state, divers must place in the top 4 in their section. Swimming Qualifications for Sections and State In order for a swimmer to qualify to attend sections, they must be one of the top 4 swimmers on their team in the event. Each team is allowed to send one group for each relay. In order for a swimmer to qualify to attend State they must have one of the following minimum times:
** Each team is allowed one group for each relay at sections. The top 2 relays at sections will qualify to attend state. Any relay that makes the qualifying time above, at sections, will also be able to attend state regardless of placement at sections.
