East Ridge Tackle Cancer Night 9/21
September 17, 2012East Ridge Football
We need you now! Your support for our football team so far this season has been tremendous, and we appreciate it so much.
But this week, we have a much higher calling. As we get set to take on our most heated rival in our homecoming game, we will be working WITH our most heated rival to take down a cause near and dear to all our hearts. In conjunction with the Minnesota Football Coaches Association and the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund, we will be hosting our "Tackle Cancer" night Friday, Sept. 21. Teams from around the state will be hosting a "Tackle Cancer" game at various points in the month of September.
We will be collecting donations at the gate before the game and walking around to collect money during the game. Every little bit helps -- so bring any spare change you may have lying around the house. People in our community can certainly use it.
But that's not all.
East Ridge will be making this a week long event, collecting money and donations at various other events all week long, including soccer, tennis and volleyball matches.
Over 90 percent of all money collected will be spent right here in Minnesota on research dedicated to finding a cure for cancer.
If you're interested in volunteering before and during the varsity football game Friday night (whether it's sitting at the donations table, or walking around with the donations box), please get ahold of me and we will find a place for you.
This is a great opportunity for these rival schools to work together for a great cause that will help people right here in our shared community. If you have any questions, please e-mail them to me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
Thanks again for your support and GO RAPTORS!
