Raptors End Zone Club
2012 Freshman Football Preseason Schedule Released
March 29, 2012By Gary Maki of East Ridge Football
First of all, welcome to East Ridge High school! We are confident that you will find being a Raptor a tremendous experience.
What a better way to start your East Ridge experience than by joining the football team! Since practice starts a full 3 weeks before school begins, you will have already made new friends and become more comfortable with the campus by the time classes begin. And you’ll be a part of the most popular sport on campus.
Starting high school sports can be an intimidating and daunting process. But it doesn’t need to be that way. The Raptors End Zone Club, the football booster club, is here to help with that transition. You will still need to pay attention to the required processes established by the school and the coaches, but one of our main goals is to help communicate with parents and players.
We work closely with the coaching staff to communicate information and provide support to the program financially and with volunteer resources. We’ll need and appreciate your help as the season progresses. But we’ll get to that later.
The freshman football program, while working closely with the varsity program, operates somewhat independently from the varsity program – different practice times (moms like to know that), some different schedules and events, etc. However, we all work together in the Raptor football program.
For now, all incoming freshmen will need to be aware of some key dates and participation opportunities.
We have provided a downloadable document that outline some key preseason dates and activities that you will need to know. On this site you can click on DOCUMENTS under the MEDIA header on the left side of this page, or you can go directly to this document by clicking here:
