Limon could use another tight game. Except for their eight point win over Kiowa in week one, they’ve won each game by at least 15 points. Jason Brown is a major reason for the double digit wins. The senior is averaging almost a double-double (18 pts / 9 rebs) and went for 24 and 8 in the narrow win in the win over Kiowa. The Badgers beat Fountain Valley 74-40 on Saturday holding the Danes to 13 of 44 shooting from the field.
Colorado Springs was unbeaten before back-to-back losses to Calhan (60-51) and Peyton (58-45) last week. In addition to the Limon battle on Saturday, the Kodiaks also face Evangelical Christian on Friday and they likely need no worse than a split to stay in contention for a top three district seed. Jay Robinson and Jackson Pinney lead the team in scoring for the season and combined for 33 points against Calhan but the duo connected on just 13 of 41 from the field. They’ll need a better effort on Saturday to upset the 2nd ranked Badgers.
